Wimberly 10km/5km Walk


	Spring Walk in Gruene, Texas April 14 and 15, 2012 This 10km and 5km walk is sponsored by the New Braunfels Marsch-und Wandergruppe. The starting point is at the historic Gruene Hall, 1601 Hunter Road, Gruene (New Braunfels), Texas. Start times on both days are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and must be completed by 3:00 PM both days. All walkers must register and obtain start cards for the checkpoint verification. There is no preregistration. The fee is $3.00 for either IVV credit or non-IVV walkers. There will be no refunds; please dress appropriately for the weather. The event is open to the public. All ages are invited to walk or jog the marked route at their own pace. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Restrooms are available at the starting point and along the route. The route is rated "1", and winds through the residential and commercial areas of Gruene. Short stretches of unpaved road shoulder may make the route unsuitable for wheelchairs and strollers. Pets are not allowed in Gruene Hall or other buildings, however are allowed on the route and must be kept on a leash at all times. Cold water, lemonade, and candy will be available at the two check points. Additional food and drinks are available for purchase at Gruene Hall and other restaurants in the area. Adequate parking is available in lots and streets near the start point. The sponsors are not liable for accidents, thefts, and/or material damage. The event will be held regardless of the weather. When you register, you accept the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events and agree to observe the principles of good sportsmanship. flyer
