
	AVA WALKFESTS Wurstfest 10K Walk This special event walk is held each year during the fall season in conjunction with the German Sausage festival. The startpoint is located at the corner of Liberty and North Streets at the Schlitterbahn Employee Cafe. If you are traveling south down 1-35 or traveling north up 1-35, you will want to take exit # 189 West on to Loop 337. Proceed west to Common Street where you will turn left. On Common Street, you will proceed to the junction with Liberty Street and turn right, traveling down Liberty Street to the Employee Cafe where parking is available. This route is IVV rated 2 and suitable for strollers and wheel chairs. Restrooms are available along the route and refreshments are available at the checkpoints. All walkers must register and obtain start cards for checkpoint verification. This event is open to the public, but persons under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. This event is held each year regardless of the weather. Pets are welcome, but must remain on a leash during the event. Water is provided for pets at all checkpoints. When you register, you accept responsibility for the guidelines for AVA Volkssport events and agree to observe the principles of good sportsmanship.
